    1- Open a Terminal with appropriate privileges (“sudo bash” to make you root on most systems)
    2- Enter the following, substituting “AppName (eurotrucksimulator.app)” with the real name of the app (Applications folder, rename it so there are no spaces):

    xattr -cr /Applications/AppName.app (eurotrucksimulator.app)

    RENAME THE EURO TRUCK SIMULATOR.APP TO EUROTRUCKSIMULATOR.APP (NO SPACE)

    Works perfectly on MacBook Air (M1, 2020) Version 12.0.1 (21A559)

    After ing the zip, extract it, than open terminal.
    type “sudo bash” and enter
    than type your macos root
    than type “xattr -cr” but do not press enter yet, click on Euro Truck Simulator 2.app which is in the extracted folder and move it on the terminal window. Not it will add the path next to our command automatically.

    Than press enter. That’s it. Play the game.

    xattr -cr /Applications/Euro\ Truck\ Simulator\ 2/Euro\ Truck\ Simulator\ 2.app && codesign –force –deep –continue –sign – /Applications/Euro\ Truck\ Simulator\ 2/Euro\ Truck\ Simulator\ 2.app

    People commented the same thing but it was confusing, and for those who didn’t understand, I’ll explain it step by step below:

    1. the torrent (use the app you prefer, if you don’t know which one to use, I recommend Transmission)
    2. After the torrent finishes ing, extract the contents of the zip (normally on macOS you just need to double-click on the ed .zip file and it will extract it for you, but if that doesn’t happen, right-click and look for the option to extract files, as a last resort, an app like 7zip or another and try to unzip the file)
    3. Move the extracted folder into the Applications folder (or whatever it’s called in your language, but it should be the folder where the apps are on macOS); 4. Open a terminal and execute the steps mentioned above in the other answers, and you don’t need sudo bash, just run the command with the correct path, like this:

    xattr -cr

    example:

    xattr -cr /Applications/Euro Truck Simulator 2/Euro Truck Simulator 2.app

    5. Open the Applications folder and double-click on the icon, it should open normally.

    6. After that, the game will appear in the Games folder within the macOS Launchpad (the screen where all the system apps are, which has an icon with small colored squares)
